Don't know if I missed this the first time round, but Fast Company have just written about LVHRD (live hard) a NYC social club that's taking off at the moment. Like a 'fight club' for professionals, only fighting is replaced with a timed 'skills duel' between two people who work in the same field:
Two architects design buildings on the fly onstage
Two fashion designers make dresses
etc
After the time runs out, the crowd get to vote on who the winner is.
I love this concept. We could start a version for creative strategists. A bit like an ad-lib version of the APG's upcoming Battle of Big Thinking. Speed strategy.
It could settle Richard's planners vs brand consultants debate that's been raging recently once and for all. There could be weight categories, like in boxing - the industry veterans go head to head, then the juniors...
Any volunteers?
Thanks to LVHRD's Flickr group for the photo.

I'm there.
Strategy on the fly.
Head to head.
Advertising versus brand consultancy.
Losers are tared and feathered
