Planner needed

 Images Productimages Small Rodin-Thinker-Red

We’re looking for a new strategist to join us at Figtree, so I thought I'd post here to see if anyone's interested.

We're not an ad agency, more of a creative consultancy that works across brand strategy, planning and creative communications. We're in London. Here.

With up to five years experience, you might be a brand strategist, or an account planner who wants to work in a 'media agnostic' environment.

Your job will be to poke around under the hood of brands, businesses and their customers, to arrive at original creative strategies and communication ideas for our clients. Your interest in what’s going on in the worlds of business, culture, technology and media informs your work. And if you're reading this, you're more than likely excited by the digital world too.

As an all-round creative doer and problem solver, you’ll won't be afraid of playing a practical role in helping getting things made, (it's not all sitting in an ivory tower of analysis in pursuit of ‘the answer’ here).

You’re able to write compelling arguments and stories that inspire and lead people towards solutions. And present convincingly. Obviously, you're able to work well with creative types. And clients.

If this sounds interesting, drop me an email and we can arrange to have a cup of tea and a chat.

Web 2.0 slides

Just found Web 2.0 slides - a great site that pulls together, erm, the best Web 2.0 sites. It's very useful and quick way to find out what's going on if you're looking for the latest / next cool online startups.

Office up in smoke!

 Images Burning Computer

A freak power surge took out all our desktop computers this afternoon at Figtree. At least seven G5s were fried - laptops survived, losing only their power chargers. Miraculously, the server survived. Expensive stuff!

I was in a meeting with a client at the time, who looked bemused as light bulbs popped overhead. Should be interesting to see what Apple's repair lead times are on a job like this...
